We arrived home from our test drive and sat down at the laptop to order Shawna’s car, will it be a 3 or a Y?
Shawna likes the extra space of the Y and the higher sitting position, but then she looks at the price and the slightly lower efficiency and decides she can live with the Model 3, so the order is placed.

We used a referral code from a co-worker of mine, so we received 1000 free supercharger miles and so did he.
After the order was placed it was time for us to do some homework as our Sales Advisor described it.
We had to upload a copy of a current Insurance Card, as well as work through how we were going to pay, payment information was easy for us since we were paying cash. Everything was complete for Shawna’s car after paying the non-refundable $100 order fee.
Now we have a Tesla account and our own referral code, so I click on our referral link which takes me back to the ordering process for Tesla #2, this one wasn’t as straight forward as there is a $9000 difference in a Standard Range Plus and Long Range Model 3. I work through the process.

Then I toggle back and forth between the two models, I finally made my choice, we end up ordering 2 Long Range All Wheel Drive Model 3’s
Upload the insurance card again and pay the $100 non refundable order fee, and that is it, we have just purchased 2 cars that cost more together than our home cost to be built in 1994, and we are paying cash. 🙂
