From 2012-2020 Tesla reports an approximate vehicle fire at the rate of every 205 million miles traveled

Tesla Vehicle Fire data released for 2012-2020.

Tesla’s website indicates fires occur with their vehicles at an approximate rate of one fire every 205 million miles traveled. Data for all vehicles in the US comes in around a vehicle fire every 19 million miles traveled per several sources. One item we see highlighted in the news in ( more… )

Tesla has released the latest vehicle safety report for Quarter 1 of 2021. In the 1st Quarter they revealed an accident rate of one accident every 4.19 million miles traveled with Auto Pilot engaged. This dropped to an accident rate of 2.05 million miles with Auto Pilot off with all ( more… )

The first weekend with our Tesla Model 3, Misty Blue, gave us a chance to expand beyond it’s daily roundtrip commute of 28 miles. Total drive for day one was 98 miles and we used 21.4 kWh’s of electric, which would cost us $1.72 with our current electric rates.On Saturday ( more… )

The Wait for our Tesla Model 3’s

Now that our orders are placed, it’s time to wait. If you haven’t done research and ordered a Tesla, you might be surprised. We ordered on 11/24/2020, placed our orders on hold until 1/2/2021 to put off a substantial Personal Property Tax Increase due to us owning older cars, 2011 ( more… )
